The World How Wide is a choral reimagining of Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, restoring the words from Tallis’ original and weaving them through the tapestry of Vaughan Williams’ original string lines.

It was created as an remote digital project for Chorus of Royal Northern Sinfonia in 2020, recorded by Floating Earth and released as a film in collaboration with Novak, going on to win a Royal Philharmonic Society award.

We teamed up with Durham University Choral Society to sing the arrangement live in Durham Cathedral in the Autumn of 2022.

The arrangement was given its London première by BBC Singers with Sofi Jeannin and Aurora Orchestra in Spring 2022, and recorded by the choir of Clare College Cambridge with Britten Sinfonia, conducted by William Vann in Summer 2022.
